1999 p silver?

    i found a 1999 p Delaware Quarter that has no copper showing from the side, it weighs 5.7,
    i look too see if any were made, all i can find are the S silver proofs....:confused:

    I'm not familiar with the proper weight of silver quarters, but I'd speculate it was plated.

    A silver quarter would weigh 6.25 grams so it is too low to be silver and is most likely plated.

    Hmm ok Silver plated for what? uncirculated? i find nothing about Plated for that year..just the copper and silver proofs..

    Novelty sold by third parties to rip off unsuspecting and/or unintelligent individuals.

    If it is plated it would have been plated outside the Mint. The infomercial TV shows that sell garbage (colorized coins, gold plated coins, etc.) to people that don't know any better could have plated the quarter.
