Well this nice old Mexican 8 realies showed up yesterday. Its a nice heavy one from the mint in Culican. This is located right across the Sea of Cortez from Cabo San Lucas. One of the last 8 realies pieces before they went Peso.

Great looking coin! That's my favorite coin design, and I'm hoping to find an un peso with the liberty cap and rays at the next show I go to. Currently I have a 1895 one, and my local coin shop has a few more which are on my to-buy list (between $30 and $65).

    Thanks for sharing! :)

Nice collection of Mexican Money, I also like em, I have about a dozen spots left in my 20th century type set, not including the gold coins, the 50 Peso centenario is pretty pricey

Well another addition to my Mexican collection arrived today. Its a nice old 1844 guaniquito mint 8 realies. Its not my oldest Mexican coin, but it is my oldest 8 realie. I am kinda stoked about it. :smurfy:

Thanks mat, 2 Mexican 8 realies in 2 weeks. I miss the days when I could get these for $9 a piece.

Wow, would buy them at $9 too.

Heck I wish I got into ancient earlier as from what others have told me, they have really gone up within the last 2 years or so.

Oh... That is a big seller from Spain. He does a lot of bizznizz on Ebay. I have bought a few from him, but his shipping prices are way out of line.

Rzage yep I like the 1918-1945 Pesos too. But the 1913 - 1916 ones are jewels.
