Thanks for the link you posted Ruben. It makes for very interesting reading. This forum is all about learning and your opinions and experience are certainly appreciated.
And those SLQs you've photographed are beautiful!

WOW, I'm even more worried today - turns out the seller is selling two other MS65's, like the one I posted earlier, with the same pics - here's the three links. So, maybe I'm not even going to get the coin in the pics. No, the BIN that ended ran its full course, the seller didn't end it early because he realized a mistake.

Also, his email to me, telling me the coin had been shipped, stated he'd leave feedback for me after I received the coin and left feedback for him. So, he appears to be playing the game, you don't get positive feedback until you leave positive feedback for him. Could be the reason he has so many sales with a high rating.

Yep, that sure looks like the same picture. It seems my suspicion may very well be justified. Seriously, if your looking to buy " Raw " pieces in this series my suggestion is to take yourself to you local neighborhood dealer,. I'm fairly confident you will not be faced with this dilemma.

Contact the seller and nicely ask him to explain why the same images are used in multiple listings of supposedly different coins.

Perhaps he should also contact EBAY by telephone and ask them to look at this sellers recent listings of this coin . Surely they would agree that someone is going to be getting a coin that is clearly an effort to defraud it's buyer.

Well, I just contacted the seller and asked if I'm getting the exact coin he pictured and he respond with yes. I didn't ask him about the MS65 BIN's. So, I'll wait to see what I get before contacting eBay.

Received the coin today and it is the one pictured - can't believe it. I'll get some pics up ASAP. As for now I can't see anything wrong with the coin - looks better in hand than the pics. Great luster, head looks full, more feathers on eagles breast, full lines on the shield, no broken luster even on the knee cap. Well, that's my opinion, you all can have at it when I post new pics. ttyl

Can't wait to see the pics SQ Guy. Whaddaya know, unlike what many users of this forum would have you believe, not everyone on EBay is out to rip you off.

Sorry I haven’t gotten back with better pics of this coin, one day I will. I tried to take a few with the meager photo equipment I have, but none were worth posting. Someday I’ll buy that Nikon or Canon DSLR I’m eyeing and will post some pics.

You also got a taste of how I’ve collected coins since age six. I tend to collect heavily, get side tracked by something else for months or years, and then return – maybe that’s one reason I like coin collecting, don’t have to be “married” to it.

I'll go low MS, maybe high AU. Maybe MS-63 at the most. I've always had a hard time grading SLQ's, as with the Indian Head Gold coins.
