Excuse my ignorance about ebay but I gotta ask. What is the difference if you outright list and sell a coin on ebay for $35 or if you start an auction from 0.99 cents and it sells for $35 on ebay. Do you make more money with the auction and can you give me a dollars and cents answer. I mean any response is appreciated but if it comes easy that would be great. just another ebay illiterate. :D :thumb:

I believe there is a higher final value fee on a buy it now listing, as well as additional costs to list it as such...compared to a true auction.

There is an initial 'fee' depending on the value of the starting bid. 0.01 to 0.99 is free, 1.00 to 9.99 is 25 cents and so on up - the final value sale is still 9%. Also yes if you add a buy it now option that costs extra

Starting April 19 it won't make any difference. All listings will be free, with fees assessed only after (if) the item sells. Fees will be calculated on the sale amount PLUS the shipping amount.

Great News! I have been listing mine with "free shipping" and the ship cost a tackon in the item price for awhile.

I always start my acutions off at 99 cents because there is always that chance that somebody is willing to pay a nice premium for it, the thing with coins is, becides silver and gold value, the coin is worth whatever somebody is willing to pay for it.

That's to catch all those folks who have been avoiding fees by selling at 99 cents and charging excessive amounts for shipping.
