How does everybody store mint wrapped rolls so that the end coins don't become sacrificially toned due to oxidation?
Good question. I'd like to see some answers, but I imagine the only way that would work would be to break it open and put it in a tube. Personally, I just store my mint/bank-wrapped rolls in a brinks penny box and not worry about the enders.
They don't always tone just on the outside. I have opened rolls and all the inner coins have toned from the roll paper. Sometimes the coins even have verdigris. I am able to fit most of my rolls in tubes, sometimes they are a hard fit, but it works, and I don't take them out to look at them anyways.
Alot of the rolls from the mint will fit into the sqare coins tubes. But they can be a pain to get out.
