I just received 6, 2010 silver proof sets. Problem is the James Buchanan coin, it has orange spots on obverse, and the reverse is spotted with white spots. All 6 sets are this way, any advice?
If you are unhappy send them back for a refund. I would probably keep them though as long as the silver coins looked good. TC
Forget the Presidentials. What do the Silver Coins Look Like! Presidential Proof Sets are sold as individual Sets. If you are unhappy with what came in your Silver Proof Sets and all the other coins are acceptable, just shop around for individual Presidental Proof Sets then swap them out! They are exactly the same lenses! Then resell the presidential sets you don;t want. It's really kinda silly to return a Silver Proof Set when the coins you don't like aren't even Silver and are available as individual sets. Of course, thats just my opinion since I buy the Silver Proof Sets for the "Silver" coins and NOT the Presidential Dollars which are available individually. If I'm looking for the "perfect" set, I'm not adverse to swapping lenses to create my "perfect" set. Additionally, since its only the Buchanan coins you have a problem with, consider picking up one or two at a coin show. They are easily replaced. Keep in mind, at this late of a date with the 2010 sets, what you've received has a better than GOOD possibility of already having been returned for bad looking coins and any replacement sets you receive may suffer from the same rejectable qualities.
