Are the America The Beautiful quarters circulating a lot? I have not come across even one of them. How about everyone else?
I have only found one in circulation too in a vending machine (Put a coin in, press coin return). Grand Canyon D
Not a lot, but enough to keep my daughter's collection current. With 2 repeats Gettysburg and Mount Hood. Hopefully Glacier will make it way in to change quickly after release.
I have gotten a handful in change but I have not kept an exact tally. From memory I think I have gotten two Hot Springs and one or two Yellowstone. I may have even gotten a Grand Canyon but I won't swear to it.
(Off topic) I think, that in comparison to the state quarters, the ATB quarters are a lot better (less tacky designs, showing natural beauty, partial rarity, etc).
The ATB Quarter mintages are far short of the State Quarters. It would be bad policy to sit and wait for these to show up in change. Many collectors are gobbling up boxes of these, knowing the numbers are far fewer than earlier State Quarter releases. Moreover, the packaged sets have their own level of quality, and they seemingly look different than roll issues. The govt. says they are the same. Hmmmm. Like the Proof issues of the early presidential dollars, these issues need to be payed attention to. People aren't saying they are buying all issues, but someone is.
