I bought two pounds of world coins, and am having trouble identifying some of them.

ERIE 1971, is Ireland 1/2 p. Nice one too! I believe there is also and Egyptian coin there as well, opposite corner from the Irish coin. I'm sure someone can tell you the others.

The coin you really like is Israeli 1 agora from the 1970s. Other coins, in addition to Asian ones are from Spain, Morocco, Thailand.

I really like the 1952 half penny too. I love the detail in the sails and rigging.

Thanks Mark! Are you referring to the one that's not in the group of three?

1066merlin, I got a lot of coins in the 2 pounds that I ordered. Those are the only two half pennies of that style I got though. I can take some more photos of others I got later on though.

Edit: Thanks Ripley! (At first I thought you said after WWII lol)

Maybe you know this, but the CCCP ones are from the Soviet Union - 1, 20 and 15 kopeks. In the five really worn ones, left to right is a British penny, the next one I can't make out but it looks like George V of Britain on it, then a Napoleon III from France sometimes in the 1850s or 1860s, can't tell the exact denomination, the one with the missing piece I'm not sure, and the last is a Mexican 2 centavos. Two centavos are kind of hard to find, but of course yours is pretty worn.

Thanks, I did know that the CCCP ones were from the Soviet Union. I didn't know the 2 centavos were hard to find, I have two more of those

I'm currently working on a collection of Mexican so this is an area I've been paying attention to lately, and I've only found two 2 centavo coins. You have two of the more common dates. They're probably worth a dollar each I'd say. The one centavos are more common. I personally like the style of all the Mexican coins of that era a lot.

Alan, post all the photos you want! We love looking at family pictures! It's actually fun trying to figure out who is who.
