Just a small pick up of recent..3 of a Kind ?? Wish I knew where the others were. Having fun! RickieB
Interesting triplets RickieB. Do you know if they're from the BEP 1999 $10 Premium Historical Portfolio ? The BEP first issued these in June 2001 and limited them to 5,000 sets. Nice pick up my friend.
Hello Steve: I am under the impression that these are simply just common notes from the run. Schwartz?Lindquist 9th does not mention any issue facts on these other than that the notes began at X00000001X as well as plate numbers. Was not aware that there was a "historical" tag involved?? I was thinking of holding a contest for these notes minus the NY note of course, although it is now a triplicate...lol So now I will do some additional digging.
From the Currency America Website; 1995 & 1999 $10 Premium Historical Portfolio First issued in June of 2001, this set is limited to only 5000 sets. It includes the first notes from the 1999 $10 Series and the last notes from the 1995 $10 Series. Series 1999 serial numbers began with number 301. The 1995 notes were from the special ‘AY’ block that was limited to only 8,000 notes. These notes were used exclusively for this set and the 1999 $10 Premium Sets, a fact few collectors are aware of. Sets including the 1999 $10s in the 300 serial range are the most desired of these Portfolios and are very difficult to locate. In addition, many of these sets were likely acquired by casual collectors, who tend to keep them in the family rather than in the marketplace,
