I'd like some opinions on this guy - I just thought it was cool and not a bad price. What do you guys think it's worth and do any of you think it's worth getting graded?
probably cost a couple bucks and no not worth getting graded. ND (no dates) dont carry as much as a premium as ones with dates.
It's a nice error. Probably from the early 1990s or late 1980s. Although grading it would give it some added value, it wouldn't cover submision charges.
How common are these types of errors? I have 4 that look very similar (only one has a visible date) and didn't know if they were easily found or not.
There's a bunch of them on eBay now.. take a look: http://shop.ebay.com/i.html?_nkw=of...+nickle&_osacat=0&_trksid=p3286.c0.m270.l1313
Nice coin. I like it. Jim's Coins in Madison Wisconsin holds monthly error coin auctions. http://www.jimscoins.com
I just seen a bunch of off center Jefferson nickels and Washington quarters at a shop, and they were going for 5-10.
