Well, there's an almost identical error on eBay right now, bidding at $8 with two days to go: http://cgi.ebay.com/No-Date-Off-Cen...56?pt=Coins_US_Individual&hash=item53e6c8ef7c
inflation At the shows & dealers that I frequent, no-date Lincoln cents sell for $2 to $3. The one coin on EBay selling for $8 is an eye-opener for me. I guess a $2 to $3 coin can sell for $8 plus shipping on EBay. There seem to be several on EBay with bids up to about $5 each right now. This explains why the number of cheap error coins seen at the shows is dwindling.
Hey thanks everyone, this is the first error coin that I have actually bought. Figured for two dollars I couldn't go wrong. I think I will just hang onto it.
I'm pretty certain if the date was showing it would be worth more. Read that somewhere. Was at a coin show in Eugene, Oregon last weekend. Dealer had 3 of the cents simular to yours. Was asking $11.00.
