In a thread on the bullion group 9guns points out. In the first quarter of 2011, the United States Mint plans to offer numismatic versions of the 2010 America the Beautiful Silver Bullion Coins. Is it part of a collection? Is it just a fancy way to pile on some silver? Should I commit to picking up all of these as they come out and should I get the "numismatic" versions as well? I'm confused. I was initially thinking this would be a cool way to add a hunk of silver to my assets. Maybe if I had the entire set it would be worth more when my kids are selling it off to pay for my wet nurse.
They can't be the exact same or you couldn't tell the two apart. I assumed they would be proofs, but it doesn't say that....... I don't have a clue either.....
I guess we'll know when and if the Mint releases them, but at the very least they'll have a "P" mint mark. The "bullion" versions had no mint mark.
There probably wont be much difference in the value between the two sets with only a 6,000 mintage difference on each coin. At least for the first year.
I read somewhere The P ones will not have the same PL finish as non P. Also ordering begins end of April, or first part of May.
