I'm looking for a 1945 mercury dime (no specific mint) to complete a 5 coin year set from 1945. I found a couple of different listings on ebay. What is the better buy? Are any worth buying? http://cgi.ebay.com/1945-P-Mercury-Dime-VF-k-/260737862231?pt=Coins_US_Individual&hash=item3cb5300a57#ht_1950wt_905 http://cgi.ebay.com/1945-D-Uncirculated-Mercury-Dime-G1-1-44-Combined-S-H-/170618776220?pt=Coins_US_Individual&hash=item27b9abea9c#ht_2601wt_905 http://cgi.ebay.com/1945-P-Mercury-dime-very-nice-detail-INV3215-/140526339172?pt=Coins_US_Individual&hash=item20b805c464#ht_500wt_922 I'm leaning toward the first listing.
Of the 3 I myself would go for #2, I like the toning a bit. Not sure if you are though. It looks to have a a bit more details on the hair and wing.
Just wanted to do a little comparison here. The seller's photos (red background) verse my photos (black background).
What about a grade? The obverse to me looks to have stronger details. I want to say AU-50 or so, what do you think? I could be completely off.
