Until today,I had hammered coinage of all the Edwards except #2 so I was surprised to find one sitting in my my dealer's showcase...and not a whole lot of money either. Not the prettiest coin in the world but it's always nice to fill in that last elusive coin.I'm sure you can all relate.:)

Don't knock it, it's alot better than most Edward II offerings i'm used to seeing. I'd have bought that one too.

I dunno why but when looking at all those Edward I pennies, Edward II ones are usually a disappointment in comparison, have you found that? I can't figure out why though as heck the dies were much the same and the design had hardly changed. But yet the actual strike quality plummets.

Sylvester,I haven't seen enough Edward II's to tell but I can say that my EdI is a much nicer strike.
You're much nearer to the source.:D

The strike quality on the Edward II's is alot poorer in comparison to Edward I. Nice Edward II coins are hard to find.
