I have been wanting an example of the Buffalo commemorative for a long time. The cost was out of my reach however. I never decided if I wanted the Proof or the Unc. but the cost always seemed about the same. Today I happened on a bargin. I was able to get the set for the cost of a single coin! Another one bites the dust. Onward and upward to the next quest.
I keep putting off buying that set, I need to just pull the trigger already! I also need to do the reverse proof set from 2006.
Look up the cost of either the Uncirculated or the Proof as a single coin. That what I paid for the set. The owner was looking for a quick profit. I shudder to think what he paid. He made money on the sale and is happy, not as much as me because I know what it's worth. He buy and sells for a percentage of what he pays. Does not care about collectors value. If I had the money I would buy out his entire inventory of silver.
My favorite modern by far! I have the uncirc but not the proof yet. Local coin store has that set for $265 and have thought of buying it several times but need that money for my 7070 set.
