Do you think it would be ok to open up these sets to add them to an album? I have the steel pennies and uncirculated sets of 2000 to present in P and D. I also have 2 S proof sets for a couple of years (also in the 2000's). I've heard that the proof sets don't have a lot of value. While I would not crack open any that I only have one of, I have multiples of a couple. I also have one proof and one silver proof for a few years. Thoughts on opening them up so I can add the pennies to an album? (pictured is the 1989 proof set, but the ones I would open up are in the 2000's)
Still interested in more opinions. And another question. If I break open one of the hard shell cases, but only have a spot for the penny, what do I do with the other coins to keep them safe?
