I got a 1964 D Quarter and a 1936 S Buffalo nickel. Both were graded by the coin store owner. Quarter is BU and I got it for 6.50 and the nickel is EF for 3.50 as you can see in the pictures. Just wanted to get some opinions on your own grades and values. If you think I paid too much for them, don't bother telling me I'm a bad coin collector cause I don't care for that kind of criticism.
Silver Washington Quarter is $6.7492 according to Coinflation. You made a good deal in my opinion with the Silver Washington Quarter. Congrats!
I started getting into collecting when silver was trading around $5/oz, in 2003 or so, I think. One of my first coins was also a 1964 (P or D, not sure) BU quarter. I got it for a dollar then, but silver sure has skyrocketed. They made a zillion quarters that year, but if you're going to have one BU Washington, that's your guy. Cheap, but still pretty.
I prefer to get my buffy's for 5 cents each. But they're almost never that nice. Quarter was a good deal, I'll say that.
If the deal seams right to you and your happy then great job and congrats. somethings only worth what somebody will pay for it.
