Error Liberty Flowing Hair Design Silver Round

    I am not surprised of no replies.Local coin dealers don't know what to think,but they want to purchase it.Guess I have to send it off.

    For a bullion coin, if you have dealers that want to buy it for a premium above silver, I'd sell it. Not an attractive error. Have you verified that it's not a fake?

    They all felt it is genuine.What interest me the most about the coin is the color.It looks more gold color in person.One dealer said it was toning,but to me it look like the color is through out the coin.They wanted to do a scratch test,but I felt it would affect the value of the coin if the color is through out the coin.Do you think it would be worth sending it off for certification? Thank you for your replies.

    I don't think the grading companies certify silver rounds. It looks like it was struck through grease... no biggie for private mint stuff.

    I went ahead and did a scratch test on the rim of the coin.The gold color appears to be through out the coin.Does this mean that the coin has a possible metal composition error?
