Has anyone here ever purchased from the eBay seller aunis_world? I bought two nothing-special modern proof coins from him. I waited and waited as I received everything else I bought from other people around the same time and then things I bought from other people long after this sale, and still didn't get it. The first time I tried to contact him I didn't get a response. I waited a week and tried again. This time he emailed back. First he scolded me, saying "please don't send email to my Yahoo account. Use eBay's message system." Well, I just clicked "contact seller" through eBay so I don't know what he's talking about. Then he said He would ship my coins on March 20 (I paid on Feb. 28) because he does a few hundred auctions a day and said I could have my money back if I didn't like it. I didn't ask for a refund because I just want the coins, but I won't be buying from him again. I looked at his feedback and he has some negatives with people saying similar things to my experience, but others say "fast transaction, great seller" or "great service" so I don't know what that's about. It seems to me if you are three weeks behind in your shipping, you should stop listing new things until you catch up. I still haven't received my coins and it's now 3 1/2 weeks since I purchased them. And yes, we're both in the U.S.
Wow, this seller has some serious negatives: http://toolhaus.org/cgi-bin/negs?User=aunis_world&ref=home
Don't go any further with this seller by e-mail. CALL EBAY . If it were I , I would demand money back and cancel the sale . It will take you about 15 minutes to accomplish this.
Always look at feedback before you buy, Could have saved you alot of trouble. The lesson learned today
It appears that there have been about 50 other Ebay buyers with your same experience with this seller. You should check toolhaus.org when you buy from sellers that you don't know. http://toolhaus.org/cgi-bin/negs?User=aunis_world&ref=home
I didn't know about that site but it is very useful. I was trying to find a spot on ebay to just show the negative feedback but they don't seem to have one. And the weird thing is this guy has more than 99 percent positive feedback, so does he just pick certain people out to ignore? And no, I didn't get a tracking number because I don't think he's even shipped it yet. The coins were 99 cents each with free shipping so I'm not out much either way but I more wanted to get the word out about this guy since he sells so many coins.
With the volume he is doing, he doesn't care about some neg feedback. 1 out of every hundred complain, that's still a 99! I always look at toolhaus. These type of sellers prefer quantity over quality, ya know?
Report the problem to EBAY by telephone as I suggested. Than move on. Sellers such as this guy, can't help but eventually be seen for the crooks they are. No sense in stewing over it any further.
Has anyone see how many transactions that person had in 1 month? 2050..that equals to 68.3 a day, in 6 months that equals to 41.561. That is a lot for one person (if the case) It sounds like that person is way over his/her head and is in deep water and now is trying to get a way with some grey area items to make up for his slow turn-a-around. Yeah I would stay away too, yet people still keep buying from him...
The best negative left refers to his profile picture. It's a classic:NON RESPONSIVE SELLER!! DIDNT KNOW I WAS ACTUALY BUYING FROM BABY
"Will usually ship within 15 business days of receiving cleared payment." ??? How could this seller possibly survive with 13 negs in 1 month??
This is why I stay away from e bay, let alone everything else on the internet. If I want coins, I go to a dealer in person. I haven't ordered a coin online since the time I got ripped off on Heritage.
13 NEGATIVE IN ONE MONTH SOLD 2050 ITEMS, So if you compare 13 against 2050 the difference is very small fraction so slim. He can survive for all those NEGATIVE and neutrals feedback.
Others have said to look at the feedback first. I always look to see if returns are accepted and the items being sold or purchased by the seller. Getting some insight into the seller tells you what kind of dealer you are working with.
I do a lot of buying from ebay. Ebay is just like coin collecting. If you dont educate yourself you will pay your dues. And after all that you may still get burned. This guy is paying big dues to Ebay so I don"t think they are going to do much. Just my two cents Ed
Just as a follow up to this one, I noticed he has gotten a ton of negative feedbacks in the last few days. I also noticed he doesn't have any more auctions listed. I just filed my ebay claim a few days ago and it will be interesting to see if I get my money back.
This is typical. When the seller gets a good price for his stuff. He ships out right away. When he does not get his price, he mucks around and hopes the buyer asks for a refund. I have seen this MO many times.
