That is a Greek victory medal from world war 1. You can read about it here: http://www.medal-medaille.com/sold/product_info.php?products_id=3676 I can't tell you much about what it is worth but here is a site (http://picardyantiquesltd.com/shop/article_S2576/Inter-Allied-Victory-Medal,-Greek-official-issue,-1914-1918.html?shop_param=cid%3D56%26aid%3DS2576%26) selling it for about $250 USD in worse condition than yours. Looks like a great find!
Nike, the Greek goddess of victory, on the other side. As for the inscriptions, they're all Greek to me.
Was this a metal detector find? When I first saw the post, I thought that someone had found a coin inside a bird.
I was trying to get some water from a well, (in Turkey) and there was the coin i mean medal sorry. I did not use metal detector. Guys i really want to thank your for helping me out, iam not interesting in money, only history. Love from Denmark.
Nice find. Must be great to live in Asia minor, so many chances to find ancients. All we have around here are squaw holes and arrowheads.
