Even though the picture is blurry, I think it's still legit. I have bought from that seller before and he was pretty accurate with his description. Even if it was doctored at least you wouldn't take a big hit on it.

I may have one in my collection if you like me to look for you..pm me if you are interested.

Davenders does not doctor nor alter the coins he sells however, the cameo may be augmented by just a smidge with his photographic techniques.

While I like Dave's offering, I can't say I'm a big fan of his coin photography. Especially with regard to cameo/deep cameo.

I am definitely in the "wait and see" camp, you never know.

I don't know very many people that collect this type of stuff. (1960s proof stuff)

I would be pretty sure that is a cameo. However, either those pictures are out of focus or you got one of the worst struck coins I have ever seen.

if I judged by the pics, that is an ultra cameo, but I think that the photography is generous of the contrast

I've always had quality service and accurate descriptions buying from Mr. Enders.

Oh, I figured it was worth taking a flyer on. If the coin will certify cameo it is worth the price.

I don't believe it will. Although the coin has frost, IMO it is not consistent enough (thick enough) for the Cameo designation, and definitely not for the DCAM designation.

You do realize he uses a stock photo for everything he sells, rather than photographing every coin he puts up for sale?

BU, do you realize that the auction specifically states that those are NOT stock photos, that the pictured coin is the one that you'll receive?

Doug, I agree, if it had UC contrast, it would be certified. I am unsure that it has Cameo contrast enough to certify as such, but as I had said before, we'll wait and see what it looks like. It was $10.

    FWIW, stock photos a re specifically forbidden for coins;

However, like stated previously, he specifically states that he does not use stock photos.

    No he doesn't.

Each coin sold is the coin pictured in the photograph. He says so and I have verified it with every coin received in over 20 transactions involving many, many more coins.

Davenders is a straight shooter and probably one of the best modern coin dealers on eBay. His prices are reasonable and his shipping charges are without question the best you can find. delivery is extremely prompt and it just makes me sick with envy that he runs such a well organized electronic shop! I highly recommend him and his products but........just like when I'm shopping at a show, I get selective over what I purchase since judging a coin from a one dimensional photograph can be very difficult since our eyes tend to miss the glaringly obvious.

Dave's photo's are just ok but the contrast is consistent and the pictures do not enlarge very well often times appearing fuzzy and lacking specific detail.

Hard to tell if it is cameo. If it is, great buy. Let us know when you get it.
