OK, Bob, no doubt in my mind you have the touch on boxes. I think I should give you money to order boxes for me and give you 25% of what I find lol. I went and got two boxes yesterday, one from Wells Fargo and one fro Cap One. Both were shutouts. Then you walk in behind me and get 2 good boxes???? You found more yesterday in one box than I have in my last 15 boxes. Which bank did you get them from? Once again, I cleared the bad ones out for you...

Go to a bank that does at least a medium amount of commercial business. If they don't do much commercial business, and just personal business, then they will usually take in more coin than they send out.

To get boxes of coins from a bank do you need to be a customer or just have the cash on hand?

Sometimes one or the other. Most from my experience are cool with just exchanging for cash.

Got my very first 2011 D nickel from a roll today. Looked like it had been kicked across a parking lot and back a few times. Didn't even bother to mount it in a flip, just tossed it back.

Had to turn in coins today from my two boxes yesterday. Teller had saved me one roll that had been turned in by a customer earlier this week. This is the bank Bob and I dump at so I was surprised to find 2 40%'ers, 1 1962 and 1 2002S. Again, that one roll beats any box I have had in a while. LOL I think I am about ready to retire other than my tellers that save for me. Just not worth the time and gas nowadays and finds are few and far between for about 3 months now down here.

On another note: I need a 1995S, 2007S, 2010S, and 2011S to complete my pulled from circulation "proof" set if anyone has one of those to trade me, please PM me. I have lots of doubles of other years.

We dump at another bank about 30 minutes away.

    Anyone else have similar issues?

Yep, it is weird Erin, I have had MUCH better luck than you on boxes.....and we get them from the same bank and branch.

Today I picked up 2 more boxes and opened one......only 1 40%er. I do the other box tomorrow.

I did get my first 2011 cent in change this week....actually my first 2011 any coin....

I'm sure many of you who search cents have found one with a profile of JFK stamped on the obverse. Does anyone know why this was done and by whom?

    Did a box of nickels. 1 43-s war nickel, 1 1936 buffalo, 4 99% nickel canadians, 13 pre-1960, 1 BU 1959 and a very cool error coin.

My wife will take some pics later, but on the obverse the coin has clear markings from the the reverse, an upside down "M" in front of Jefferson's nose is the most obvious. There is also a "T" and an "O" floating near the rim. The reverse shows the clear outline of Jefferson's profile from the obverse. Its a 1983 p and would grade about XF. Even my wife got excited about this one. She ususally just rolls her eyes....

Pretty sure its a die clash.
