two questions

    I was going through some wheat pennies and came across this im pretty sure its just a strike but wanted to make sure it wasn't a mint error and get some expert opinions. its year is 1939.

    Secondly, Is the below coin a blank half or a planchet? Im believe its considered a blank right?

    Once they go through the upset mill it's a planchet. That one's a planchet.

    Agreed - the second item is a blank planchet. That's a great find. Blank planchets are harder to find for larger coins.

    The pits on the reverse of the Wheat Cent are damage.

    Thank you very much for your reply. I wasnt sure about the wheat the pit kind of looked like a letter to me but I am a very new to collecting.
