Ck out the nugget I wish I had found this one! http://www.coinnews.net/2011/03/18/...placed-by-spectrum-numismatics-international/
I saw this today at the ANA Show. It's quite impressive but not as gold looking as I had imagined. BTW, the nugget was found about 44 miles away from my home and just goes to show that CALIFORNIA still has plenty of gold left to find.
And why are you on the computer and not out there looking for one of you own?:smile I don't suppose they gave the exact location where it was found?
Still a lot of impurities in yet. Once it's refined, if it's ever refined, it will be more gold looking
19 You may have started a new Gold Rush!!!2011 or I:foot-mouth: Alaska & Arizona there still finding nugget there to.
Did either of you two happen to catch the series Gold Rush: Alaska? Seems to be still quite a bit of gold in the ground that wasn't mined during the gold rush there back in the 19th and 20th centuries.
Actually, no they didn't and even the original owner is unknown so that its location could not be pinpointed by entrepeneuring gold hunters out for a casual stroll on his property who just happened to be walking around with picks, shovels, and a bobcat in tow for transportation in case they got tired! Myself? I live on a hill top and this stuff is usually found in and around streems. But, who knows, maybe I'll build some contour trails around the property!
LOL! Finding gold and silver is not really a problem. Its the expense and legalities involved that creates the problem!
