This interesting Canadian Dollar showed up in the mail today. Its common around 1.3 million made, but its my first one of this year 1939. Cost me $22 C, from a seller in Quebec. Love them Canucks.
I picked up four in a lot last week. Is there an easy way to ID the 1949 specimen vs the general 1949 $1? I can't tell if mine just has very reflective surfaces or if its been polished (but the fields are clean and the high points seem to be rub-free). Considering how sharp the price difference is between them, I don't have high hopes that it's a SP, but that would certainly make my day!
