Japanese occupation note?

    A ten peso note issued for the Japanese occupation of the Philippines during WWII. It is extremely common as millions were printed and they were worthless at the end of the war. Value is only about a buck.

    lettow's right on this one. It's worth about $2 max in Ch Cu. generally only $1 any grade less and can be found almost everywhere paper money is sold.

    Still, it's a cool piece of history most people know nothing about. I have a few myself. Common or not, it's a real challenge to assemble a set of all Japanese occupation currencies. I've yet to see a complete set anywhere.

    Come to the MPCFest in Port Clinton OH next weekend and you will at least one (not including the never released notes for Russia).

    Thanks Rick, I do have better pictures, but I can not load down here directly from Picassa. I suppose I should reshoot in the future.
