I am looking to purchase new software for coins. I have been using wincoin for years. I have looked at coin manage and it looks like the ticket. I have a question that maybe somebody here can answer. I collect both US and Canada. I see I have to purchase two versions of the software, Can I see both countries in one program? Seperate databases or is it completely seperate programs? Hope I explained this correctly.

Hi Jim, I collect Canadian decimal coinage and only have a small Canadian collection at the moment so I am not using any software currently. I know a lot of collectors that use a program from BC3 software called Currency Vault(http://www.bc3software.com/) specifically designed for collectors of Canadian material. They have a demo version you can try out on their website. I don't have any experience with this software at all so I cannot recommend it personally (just presenting you with an alternative here). I have heard fellow collectors comment on how well it worked for them to manage their collections. Not sure if it compatible with layouts or updating trends for the American coins in your collection... maybe contact them from their website to find out more. Take care.

Hey jim I've been using coinmanage for over a year and find thats it's a simple yet comprehensive program,it has a database for non-US coins including Canada,also allows you to import images into the database. I would recomend it,I aquirred my copy from a friend who burned:secret: oh never mind,lets just say the price was right.
