I'am interested in buying a new graded $100 bill. By new I mean a 2011 $100 bill graded by PMG. Who would be a reputable dealer and when will the new $100 be released? Thanks in advance.
I saw them being printed in Fort Worth when I went on the tour a few months ago. They look alot more blue to me than the press release pictures show.
Why not get one and have it graded yourself? Ask your bank for a new one when they come out and send it in.
Thanks for the heads up: In regards to sending in my own bill, I have two concerns 1) I don't know much about currency and only a little about collecting coins. 2) The coins I have sent in to be graded did'nt get the grade I thought as well. So that is why I'am a little apprehensive about the grading thing.
Where did you hear this? I call the BEP each month for updates, because they said feel free to call, even though I have also signed up with their news letter. I ask them, "I know there is no set date right now, but, is the new $100 bill definately coming out in 2011?" and they say, "We can't say for certain, as we don't know for sure, but that is what we are shooting for" Damn though, one month from now sounds great! (If it happens)
Um... Are we skipping Series 2009? and printing Series 2011? Would appreciate a link if someone has some new info out there...
Okay, I can't help it... they looked "blue"?... As in sad, because our weakened fiat currency is often bashed and cursed for being so, whether it is or isn't. Maybe they were error notes! Maybe the pictures you saw were a sham... and they never existed! LOL. Okay, done. Resume serious discussion.
I have been impatently been waiting for 6 years, seeing as 2005 was the original release date for the new colorized $100 bill. Then it went to late 2007, then early 2008, then late 2008, then early 2010 and finally, Febuary 10th of 2011 which has long since passed. Well, its 2011 now, so what the heck is the deal? Are we going to get them before the world ends in 2012?  :dead-horse:
