I am looking up Indian pennies and I have four 1888 ones. There are two types listed:

    1888 BN
    and
    1888/7 BN

How do I know if I have a /7 or not? What does the /7 mean?

Thanks in advance for your help

1888/7 means the last digit of the date is an 8 punched over a 7. 8/7 means EIGHT OVER SEVEN.
