Hi, I am new here and fairly new to collecting. I search rolls and the past two days have been good to me so I would like to share. Please share your comments with me. First off I should say we because it is a shared interest with myself and my girlfriend. She posted to a neighborhood on ebay and Stormynurse suggested we post here with questions and pictures because she said the group here has vast knowledge about error coins. Thanks Stormy http://connecticutarrowheads.com/coins/ddo.jpg I'll get another pic of that one tomorrow and put it up here,http://connecticutarrowheads.com/coins/pen.jpg The 87 has what I think is raised ridge or Mis-aligned die on the obverse but the reverse has doubling in United States of America. That one looks like it has some machine doubling but I could be wrong. Still a cool coin in my opinion. Never saw one like it. These are about the best shots I can get out of my old camera. Please be honest I have a pretty thick skin. Oh and thank in advance.
That 87 is a type of die fatigue. The other one you could check coppercoins to see if it has a match. I can't tell from the pics on my phone. Welcome to the forum.
That 72 looks like a 1972P-1DO-011, Class 8 or so it looks from www.coppercoins.com Not the Class 1 doubling but still a good find!
Now I just need to be able to find my way back here to read this stuff without going to my emails. Then again if I dont put down enough words I can't even post this one.
