Paper Money Graders #4 / Guess The Grade Correctly And Win A Prize!

You guys have been doing a great job! The last one #3 i think was a
Good challenge and i haven,t been able to stump anyone yet Krispy hit
The first two and Steve in Tampa got the last one!

This time however might be a different story as we get in to problem notes
Or not this means possible "Apparent Grades" may be present in the over all
Grade which you must identify in your answer so you must go over the note
Carefully to identify possible problems missing corners rips or tears both
External and internal, Here would be a sample answer and make sure to
Include your PPQ or not designation!

Sample: VF35 NO PPQ Apparent internal tear

So there will basically be 3 elements to consider 1) Grade 2) PPQ designation
and 3) Apparent possibility

To help there our a few on e-bay which you can compare to make this
Challenge a bit more agreeable!

Looks like a hefty challenge here... will get to work on it asap. The colors really pop on this note. Very dynamic! Something tells me that when I see lower grades and larger denominations in your collection they are likely rarer and probably harder to grade.

 

I actually have a super nice Series 481 $5 in my collection, This denomination in this Series
Only has 1 63 that should tell you something to the rarity of this note in high grades
I think the in between grades our the hardest those that land between a EF and A/U
Grades similar to what we had in the last challenge because it could be those little things
That make or break the note!

This note is nick named the "Reclining Man" for obvious reasons! Hey Texas John care to take
A guess at the Grade of this note?? i will leave it open awhile longer

 

The official name of the vignette is the "Mechanics".

It also appears on the back of the $50.00 third charter national notes -- with one difference. At the risk of highjacking MPCUSA'a thread, I will send a prize to the first person who can tell us what the difference is in the two vignettes.

 

The guy on the National Banknote is a Wobblie, while the one on the MPC is a draft dodger.
