Does anyone have any opinions on books or other reference materials that I should read to learn more about US gold coins? Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks.
I am looking for information on the US gold series ($1, $2.50, $3, $5, $10, and $20, both Indian and Liberty). I've already read Q. David Bowers' An Illustrated History of Gold Coins, and I ready Volume IV of Paul F. Taglione's series on gold coins. I recently bought his Volume I of the series dealing with gold dollars (there are other volumes on quarter eagles and $3 as well which I will probably get). Are there other books that I should be reading? I would like to learn as much as possible about the different denominations before I start to make a lot of purchases. Thanks.
