I consigned some pretty heavy duty stuff to this auction not realizing it would be the first major auction by the combined Stacks & Bowers and Merena. I'm wondering how this auction is going to do? I mean I like the fact that Q. David Bowers is back on the payroll. Anyone else have a feel about how this new conglomerate is going to run?

To my knowledge he always was on the payroll.

As to how it will run, probably pretty much like it always did.

I'm fairly certain that there was time when he was not with them... I could be wrong... But I remember a conversation with my consignment director and that was one of the selling points that he was "back" with the firm.

Possible but I don't know when it would have been. Any problem I ever had with them (Stacks) I talked to Dave and he got it fixed for me pronto ;)

I am referring to B & M as the ones who he was not employed with for a while.

Ahhhh - I misunderstood. You are correct on that score of course. He didn't work for B & M for many years. He was with several different companies in the interim. I thought you were just referring to Stacks, since Stacks and B & M have now merged.

But as to your original question, I doubt his being with B & M will make any difference in how the company is run. B & M was always a fine company even without Bowers. But I am sure he is a welcome addition. What company wouldn't like to have him ?

I have a feeling this Sale is going to be HUGE . One of our other members also has some items consigned to this sale as well . It might be helpful if you list the lot numbers you are offering . This reminds me, I haven't yet received my catalog as yet. Time to give em a call and see whats up.

If they do, they need to do it in the Auction section ;)
