Value and grade please? I have 1 pic of my Ms69 1962 penny but it is so shiny that it is hard to take a pic. My wheats include: 1940-s,1953-D,1955-D,1953-D,1950,1951

Well, if they are Unc or AU, they are worth around 50 cents to $1 each. The 1962 is not MS-69; it isn't even uncirculated. It looks like a proof, which is worth around $2 for that year.

Those are nice looking cents, but in the 1st pic you are handling the coins with your fingers. In the later pics I think I see finger prints on the coins.

Handle the coins by their edges only or with cotton gloves.

Image262.jpg Image254.jpg Image258.jpg Image242.jpg Thanks. 1 question...why is my 62 really red and looks like a proof but has no mintmark? Can they proof at the Philadelphia mint? I think it looks like a proof...

LOL MS69 with that... mortal wound on the back??

Cracked me up, sorry. Proofs made back in the days of silver were indeed made at Philly, IIRC. Proof production was moved to San Fran in... 68? Too lazy to google.

Sounds about right. And none were made from '65-'67. Just SMS's. Thats a pretty coin, but that mortal hit is NOT just a flesh wound. Thats a full fledged death hit. Likely wouldn't even grade.

Don't be to hard on them! Notice the requestor name sometimes easier to ask someone with the knowledge than to sift through the tons of stuff on the web.

It takes a while to learn to filter out garbage when googling. ;-)

I have learned my lesson on the horrible deathprints too.... look at a dime I fingerprinted when I took more pics of it, looks ugly now

Proofs were made at the Philadelphia mint up until 1968 when San Francisco was charged with making proofs.

Too bad you've been handling that proof with your bare hands, nice fingerprint on the obverse of that 62.
