It looks DMPL to me :( You have to remember that the graders of these TPGs surf these coin boards, so...

I think it should have gotten PL or maybe DMPL.

One time, someone caught an angry chuck norris on Camera. It was called Walker: Texas Chainsaw massacre.

No, I'm thinking that if you've questioned their abilities in the past or argued about grades received they might try to "stick it to you" so to speak when you submit more coins. Also, if you sent the coin in using the economy or discount/free submission process it might not get the attention it deserves.

I seriously doubt the 'Presedential Review' advertised is actually accomplished by Hall himself, probably just a marketing gimick.

I still think your coin is DMPL, but I'm not a pro grader... Have you considered ANACS or NGC?

    Don't be so *!@#&*$ sensitive.

Really, if they are vengful or litigatous over this message board could they REALLY survive. Their business ***depends*** on open public critism, otherwise their product has NO VALUE. Without a public critique, they can't establish in the public eye a reliable unbias evaluation of their product. Remember, they don't sell coins, they sell public trust. If they don't hold their own under valid critism, then they're entire livelihood is flushed down the toilet.

That being said, send it back. I think they errored. As for the scratch, ask them were. Since when does a scratch cause a body bag?

Ron Guth(Author of Coin Collecting For Dummies) is president of PCGS now.

Zane, I have heard that PCGS is currently extremely tight with the PL, DMPL, CAM, and DCAM designations. It could also be a "Mechanical Error."

Thanks Charlie....I knew that the guy wrote a book but for some reason the name just wouldn't come.

Just the other day a person said that he thought maybe PCGS was hard on CAMEO...I just told him that if he kept an eye out he would find coins with great CAMEO in NGC slabs for alot less $$$.
