Why would you ever bid on something like this? And I love the idea that coin dealers are selling rare/key dates without their own knowledge.

    Seriously, I'd bet 100 dollars that it is a ms-62-63 1882 83 or 84 cc.

Did you submit your best offer?

No, if I did, it would be 185 dollars.

That's a smart bid but you know some chowderhead is going to come in and bid the 399.50 price listed.....

Couldn't they be proof Eisenhower dollars, instead of CC Morgan dollars? (Same type of box.)

If I had the money to throw around, I would absolutely hit Buy It Now, just for the suspense of the thing.

I just don't trust it. Every CC GSA dollar in box I have bought, has had the date stamped on it. Also, I think the box was opened most likely, and then glued back shut. If I knew the seller was truthful for sure, I'd buy it.

If you won a single coin in the GSA sales it came in the box with the label on it that showed what the date was. If you were a winner of multiple coins they came in those unmarked white boxes packed into an outer box and that outer box was what carried the label and the date enclosed. The inner boxes were blank like the one shown here.

I do not have experience with the Brown Ikes and I do not know if they used a similar shipping method for the multiple cons or not. I have heard of one case of a "Unopened GSA" turning out to be a brown Ike, but it is just hearsay, not something I can confirm.
