So I bought a MS-65 2007P Washington $1 Coin, the problem is what arrived is a NGC Brilliant UNC. 2007p Washington $1. What do I do? The sellers return policy is that "Buyer pays return shipping, refund will be given as an exchange." What kind of non-sense is this? The Seller obviously created a fraudulent listing! It's a nice coin its just even I a noob at grading can tell this is not an MS-65
Report him to e-bay! you should be able to get a full refund through there buyer protection plan As the item was not as described!
Good point MPC, just one question ebay requires I contact the seller first to try and reach a resolution. Should I give it a couple of days or if I don't like his "defense" should I just immediatly jump to a claim?
You will have to wait @ least 21 days to open a claim through fleebay. Sorry but that's some more of their rules and yes you need to contact the seller as soon as possible by e-mail to dispute this with them. Their reply will automatically be sent to fleebay as will yours, so it would be in your best interest to be nice even if the seller isn't. The good news is that fleebay will respond quickly after the 21 days to resolve this problem and to get your money plus shipping credited to your account. There will be no cash reimbursement. It may not be what you want to hear but @ least that is the way it worked in the case I had with them several months back. Good luck.
Great news, the seller is genuine, he said he must not have thourally read it (as what I paid for was same case style, First Day Issue) and he told me to keep this one, and he will be sending out mine on monday. That made me extremely happy as this is my first slabbed coin
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=290527179565#ht_500wt_1156 That is the auction This is what I received: Again the seller immediately responded and has already shipped a replacement that is the actual coin a purchased. He has a large inventory so I can understand how this happened.
You are very fortunate to get such a quick response from the seller in this case but it still proves that there are still good people out there in this world and that it's the few that give the rest a bad name. Glad everything worked out well for you.
yea you and me both, it's not often you run into an honest person anymore. I no longer make purchases online unless I have buyer protection. I have been ripped off too many times to make any more irrational decisions
