We bought a box of pennies, and each night before bed we have been sitting down together and looking through them. We found quite a few wheats, I don't have them all in front of me, but the ones that stick in my mind, are a 1919, 1942, 1952's 57's and a 41 last night. Some canadian. We found several 09's in near perfect condition and kept them as well. We kept several from the 60's but now that we are through this box we are going to go back through what we found and pick out the best. May purchase a box of halves next week. Not positive yet. But my kids can't wait to get more coins to go through!
Cent searching is mad addictive. I caught one solid box of wheats, and now I go try to go through a box a day. I get withdrawal symptoms if I go two days without doing it.
I wish the bank's around here had even a roll of halves. Can't even find one single halve at the bank. I too search box's of pennies for wheaties. I started at the beginning of the winter getting one box every Friday as the winter got longer and colder I was up to two then up to four. Going through 10,000 pennies over a weekend I was glad to see Monday come I was seeing pennies in my sleep! lol
