I recently received some currency and have questions about where I can find information on its value. I'd appreciate any suggestion. I have: 1. a one dollar bill which is printed on one side only - George Washingon side. It is 1977 series, in good condition 2. 3 two dollar bills. 1995 and 1976 in good condition and 1976 in fair condition. I don't even know if $2 bills are still issued. Are these of any more than face value? Thanks for any help or guidance you can give!
Welcome to the forum Maggie31 ! You can still get $2 bills from banks so there is not much of a premium for them. Those more into collecting bills than I am can tell you which types of $2 bills have any extra value. As for the 1977 series bill, can you post a scan or picture of both sides of the bill? It will help us determine its authenticity and potential value.
one sided bill Sorry to be slow to reply, I was out of town. I appreciate your responses! I have sent an attachment with pictures of both sides of the $1 bill. The serial numbers for the $2.00 bills are: F49306792B, series 1995 L63783252A, series 1976 A00431083A, series 1976 Thanks, Maggie31
Yeah , been gone for a couple weeks but nothing special on the $2 serial #'s and the on $1 I can't really tell . It could be the real deal but the bleed through of the front image bothers me as it is very plain to see , could be a pulled apart bill . Yes it can be done but I don't really know how .
Thanks to GrimReaper and Crispy 1995. I will try to take it to a dealer and see what their assessment is.
