What size is your display settings? If you don't know, you can: right click on your desktop choose properties or personalize (depending on windows version) choose display settings
1440x900 on the MacBook Pro, except when I'm hooked up to the 1920x1200 monitor (say, for Grading from Pics). Or 1024x768 when, like now, I'm on the iPad. I'd love to have a 2560x1600 30" monitor, but I'd be more likely to put the money toward a 17" MacBook Pro with the 1920x1200 display, especially now that they're quad-core. (I'm a software developer, where productivity scales linearly or better with screen size. Alas, the current employer is clueless -- IS is outsourced to a group that can't even spell "resolution", much less support a request for a monitor that improves it.)
But wait! with out telling us what your screen resolution is the above number makes no sense.. I am a 20" (diagonal) with 96dpi If I use 1980 a forum like this would only fill half the screen. My resolution is set at 1084
