I will commence with something controversial, but only because the final resolution of the case will be controversial; therefore, I have one word for the dealer: idol.
He still has a wide angle of defense on his favor, and he doesn't need a phenomenal lawyer to not lose the case. Part of the story concentrates itself upon logical fallacies that have no weight. It seems probable that the dealer had the mentality to prepare a possible defense prior to his "irregularities".
Whatever the resolution may be, I'm willing to bet money that he has serious chances of not losing. Anyway, I do acknowledge that he probably played "dirty" and in an unnatural manner.

thank the lord jesus that i don't generally buy coins from US dealers, reading some of the horror stories on this forum i would certainly end up behind bars for assault and battery if i had to deal with some of the pondlife you have mentioned.

Lying to the elderly to take their hard earned money/bullion that they most likely built upon their entire lives? IMO that is as low as it gets...this man is a straight up coward.

This guy sounds more like a bullion dealer rather than a (numismatic) coin dealer.

That's from last July. What did they discover? I do remember Weenie was looking into it, but I don't remember anything coming of it. Maybe I missed it and they are criminals.
Again, I would never buy from them but as long as there is plenty of competition I figure a dealer can charge what they want.

I can tell you from experience that being a police officer is ok and that seeing such cases are probably never going to happen. Now for those who say shoot him and do public hangings, that is not going to happen here anytime soon. We Americans are not used to living this way ( at least today ) and it is not a pretty scene, and this is why is not (IMO) a thing we will get used to. Even as a police officer, it is hard to see such scenes. However, I do agree that he will do many years in prison and that he should not be allowed back into society. I hope the victims in this case get some kind of compensation out of the suit.
