    What's the grade?
    What's it worth.
I know I got it from an overpriced website, but I want to know if they ripped me off by charging $6.50.

My best guess is VF. I don't think you overpaid, as the 61-D was the last one I got to complete my book, I think it is rarer than the mintage would indicate.

Hi :Half Dollars are my thing. I can not tell you what grade the coins is from the picture.Does the coin have full bell lines. ( the lines across the bottem of the Liberty bell.) To Grade the coin Very Fine20 At least half of the lower and upper incused lines on Liberty Bell visibel.

EF 40 Wear spots at top of end of Franklins curls and hair at beck of ear. Wear evedent at and on lettering of Leberty Bell.

Now the important part. As far as getting over charged for the coin depends on many things Not just the gread of the coin. Do you need the coin for you collection? Do you enjoy owning the coin and a pice of history? If you answered yes to these questions then you did not pay to much. I hope I have helped.

Based on the pics I'd say the coin would grade Very Fine at best and probably just Fine. Here's a link to a recent sale on ebay for the same coin graded MS62 - CLICK HERE

Well, that's a bit better than mine, but it won for $6.50, and it was slabbed, so than I got a good deal from mine. I just want to make sure because the Morgan Mint has ripped me off - a lot.

Goes to show you - research!

You misunderstood my point - you did not get a good deal at all. In my opinion your coin grades about 12 or 13 grades below MS62 and its value would be about $2.50 - $3.00 - and that's only because of the silver content. Before the price of silver went on a rampage you could have bought that coin in almost any coin shop for $1.

I'm not knocking your coin, I'm trying to answer your question as truthfully as possible. You wanted to know if you got ripped off - in my opinion - yes you did.

I believe GDJMSP is correct in the grade and value would be $3.00 dollar at the max.

    Oh...OK. I get it.
Even though I've made this decision a few weeks ago, no more Morgan Mint!

Yeah, definitely stay away from the morgan mint. You can find anything they sell, cheaper elsewhere.

It shows me that my grandpa knows nothing about coins.
He was the one who told me to use them.
Just, don't get a bad impression from your grandpa.
