If you don't want to educate yourself on the topic then you will inevitably end up sound like an idiot every time you post in a thread about them. Furthermore, he is a dealer that specializes in toned coins. So of course his inventory is going to be full of rainbow toned coins. And BTW, you have been on the circus employee list for quite a while now!

    How's that sound old man!

You're considered by everyone here to be at the top of your circus employee list. LOL

Enough! Go back and read post 36 on rule 2. I know some are trying to get the thread closed for their own agenda. Stop with the "little boy", Official coin doctor", Circus people, Old man, etc.

I'm not sure how any of this name calling is very productive to anything that has to do with coins.

I'll do a few clads and pennies tonight with the basic ebay colors to show you how easy it really is... The good stuff, I'm going keep on low down. Don't want rattle any cages in the coin toning world.

I knew when I saw this thread this morning that it would be at this point sooner or later. You can hate it. You can like the discussion of it. You can ignore it. What you can't do is to call each other names, be uncivil in comments on each others abilities, or suggest that they join a "list". You can disagree, just do it right!

There were several infractions sent. I feel that no one participating at the level I mentioned above was spared.

And if others wish to continue the comments, I will continue the "awards". Move on!

awwwww let it go! y'all.......... the more knowledge about the processes used, the more it will be easier to detect.

    OR....

If it can indeed be done with out detection, so what? IT IS UNDETECTABLE! Collect the coins you like - not the ethics or morals of the previous owner.

FWIW - I think that it the most ludicrous stupid thing ever, when the difference between AT and NT is supposedly intent.

However, here again... if it is your thing to only buy coins from people who are righteous ethically (read would never AT a coin) then do your due diligence and move on.

If it is your thing to buy coins that have circus clown colors as a result of chemical contaminating - more power to you!! get all you want.

and if it is your thing to supply clown coins to the masses begging for them - MORE POWER TO YOU! GO FOR IT! HOPE YOU GET RICH AND RETIRE NEXT YEAR!

peace.......... live and let live - and never bash the laws of supply and demand.

He's right. They're not breaking any laws and they're making money. AT will always be here. Don't fret about. Colorful silver compounds are colorful silver compounds. Just buy the ones you like.

Shane has a lot of those coins in his inventory because that's what he deals in, toned coins! It's like saying "How can Glenn Holsonbake have over 50 mid grade Barber Halves in his case?" Well he sure did at the Boston ANA because Glenn works his butt off to find them as does Shane when it comes to toned coins. Of course, if you don't buy toned coins, then you have little to worry about. Your argument makes no sense.

Thanks for the show. Very illuminating. If you don't think some AT coins can't get by the PCGS gurus then you're very naive.

I must say, I agree with almost everything you wrote, except for the following:

Your artificial toning results aren't the least bit convincing.

Contrary to your claims, they don't yield undetectable AT coins.

Most sellers of toned coins don't tone them and they aren't taking advantage of anyone.

Based on your posted results, I don't think you're going to be putting anyone out of business.

Artificial toning of the types you portrayed, has been around for decades, so you haven't brought anything new to the table that will have any impact.

Anyone who is impressed with your agenda and/or results has a lot to learn.
