I have this unusual Penny I've been holding on to. It looks as if it was gold plated or something... I also noticed the back has 2 different die marks. Has anyone seen this before? (The last pic shows differnece in color - I think)
glue???? it's definately stamped, possibly before the monument the "ONE CENT" looks like it was stamped after whatever was stamped first
Sometimes glue has a metallic look. On the reverse at 7:00 you can see some glue hanging over the edge. Try scraping it or any on the back off. I am positive it will come off. Or soak it, not sure what to use. Acetone is harmless to a coin.
it's not glue, dude.... that's the reflection from the sun/camera. nothing is dripping. it is stamped into the coin
Dip it in acetone, if it's still there, you've got something special. For some evening reading.... http://www.cointalk.com/t50544/ http://www.cointalk.com/t71244/ http://www.cointalk.com/t137471/
