    Hello all,
I was wondering if anyone here was a member of any world coin trading sites? I'm looking to build my collection of circulated world coins and was hoping to trade some US Coins for them. In doing some research I found some trading sites but was unsure which ones are legit and which ones aren't. Was hoping someone here had some ideas?
    Thanks in advance,
    N.E.V.

You can check my website (see my sig) and look for "Good Collectors", I've traded at least one time with all of them. They are all honest and trustable people.

I don't talk about "reliable" places to swap. At least I would not take it in that way. I would say that there are many good swappers in the world with whom you can get a great experience. There are also bad swappers, but I think it is worth taking the risk.

So it is not a matter of sites, but of people.

Nice Lincoln cent cud in your avatar. I only saw it for the first time today. I just read your post where you describe finding the avatar http://www.cointalk.com/t144222/
    Really nice find.

If you send me your address by PM, then I will send you a package of my duplicate world coins. There won't be any silver or gold but there will be some neat material. No trade or payment is necessary from your side.

How do you even find people that want to trade coins from other countries? I use to trade coins (small change) with people that I met from other countries on Myspace... but I could never find a site with people that were intrested in it too.\

I signed up for cointalk just because of this thread... because so far this is one of the few sites that I found that even talked about it.

Chickenfight- nice shoe box lol... I keep mine in a little box too. lol

one-thanks. I will look around that site. I am thinking about just going on amazon.com and buying a few bags of world coins and hoping for the best. lol. You can get like 2pds for $20. Maybe thats the way to go. I am also looking for a NYC subway token but can't find it on amazon.

Yeah thats a size 12 work boot box full lol its probably 50% of the total mass of world coins I got lol...I bought mine from random Ebay lots of bulk world coins by the pound. To be honest If I had it to do over again I wouldnt have bought them like that. They are basically just clutter because for every pound you may want to keep a dozen coins lol, thats what my original intentions were. Buy a few pounds, keep a couple dozen, and pass them along to the next guy but that was too much work so I just banished them to the closet for 5 years lol...I bought one of those 2010 black book with general prices and went through a bunch of them (the old lady really enjoyed that, especially when she came home and i had 30 pounds of coins dumped in the floor lol...) Nothing special, mostly in the 40cent range. The only coins that I found good value in where about a dozen 5 pesetas Spanish world cup coins from 1980 ($16 range in my book, I dont know what they are really worth), so I kept them and some older British and Canadian copper, but it really wasnt worth 3 days of my life which I will never get back I spent to find them lol...

Lol... yea I have found a few people over the years that were from other countries willing to trade but for the past year I am at a stand still. lol. I have a small box... like 6x6x2. I keep mine in little jewlrey bags just bunched up together. My great grandfather use to have a HUGE box of world and old coins but when he died the collection got split up and I was the only one that kept anything.

Do you still have any doubles or anything (of the ones that werent worth much) maybe I could help you find something you are looking for or maybe buy some off of you.
