I have this unusual Penny I've been holding on to. It looks as if it was gold plated or something... I also noticed the back has 2 different die marks. Has anyone seen this before? (The last pic shows differnece in color - I think)

Looks like glue on the reverse.

glue???? it's definately stamped, possibly before the monument the "ONE CENT" looks like it was stamped after whatever was stamped first

Can you take a closer picture of the back? Hard to see in the picture you have posted.

Sometimes glue has a metallic look. On the reverse at 7:00 you can see some glue hanging over the edge. Try scraping it or any on the back off. I am positive it will come off. Or soak it, not sure what to use. Acetone is harmless to a coin.

by the way... it weighs 3.2 grams, the copper penny weighs 3.11 grams, correct?

it's not glue, dude.... that's the reflection from the sun/camera. nothing is dripping. it is stamped into the coin

Ok ok, nice coin. I'd list it on eBay!
