I knew you were the guy that would Know MPC USA, I'd like to talk to you more about getting another I love $.50 denominations do you have anything with a better portrate for around $15 with sipping? PM ME Also any idea of value, I mean for $3 I am not complaining, but did the seller make more off me than what its worth? I mean with such a large mintage I would assume so
If it is VF, it's worth $28 according the the Standard Catalog of United States Paper Money. It's worth $10 in F.
You did good for $3.00. This note catalogs at 5.00/VG 10.00/Fine 25.00/VF in the MPC catalog. The catalog may be a little high. Recent Ebay sales are from $5.50-10.00 or so. Despite what you may consider a high printing (coins have mintage, paper money has printings) survival rates are pretty low for many MPC types particularly the higher denominations. When conversion to a new series took place, the old series was called in and demonetized. Check the gallery at www.papermoneyworld.net for images of all the MPC notes.
MPC's are a very slippery slope - they have a large number of fascinating and beautiful designs and can get really seriously pricey when you get into the rare stuff.
Green sheet value is between $15-$20 and i would pay around $12.50 as A dealer so at $3.00 i dont think you can go wrong! I will take a look and see what i have in the 50 Cent in your price range And PM you
Almost forgot the printing of 4,232,000 would be considered low in the MPC world most are Allot higher!
