In another thread, I told of my submission of the ANA medals to NGC. I neglected to mention that the 38mm silver and bronze medals for the years 1969 (Philadelphia, PA), 1971 (Washington, DC), 1976 (New York, NY), 1978 (Houston, TX) and 1979 (St. Louis, MO) were struck in high relief. The slabs for these medals are the same heighth and width but they are thicker than normal. The new "fatties" put the old "fatties" to shame. By the way, I'm sending all of the medals to have professional photos taken, and I will post individual shots of all of them in a few weeks. In the mean time............
