Hello Folks, Been looking forward to this Chinese auction (held in Germany) (Via Sixbid) for about three weeks or so. Most of the coins I had researched went for 10 times what I had expected so the four coins I did end up getting were less than well researched, so hope I did OK. Links posted.....so perhaps the Chinese numismatists might give me some good, reasonable or bad news.......or perhaps some of each. http://i931.photobucket.com/albums/...inzHu-PehLinGwoMing182Yeoman1271chopmarks.jpg http://i931.photobucket.com/albums/...icPrsidentSunYat-SenLinGwoMing49Yeom318a1.jpg http://i931.photobucket.com/albums/...oJ1909ProvinzHu-PehLinGwoMing187Yeoman131.jpg http://i931.photobucket.com/albums/...1929ProvinzKwang-TungLinGwoMing158Yeom426.jpg
Marbury, They are very nice. Do you have any information regarding this coin? I know it is a 1912 Yuan but I do not know the value or rariety.
Sorry.....my knowledge on Chinese coins is limited to trying to check values of specific coins to bid on......I'm sure a Chinese authority will pick up on both our coins...........all the best.....marbury
Yep, they are all very nice but IMO the top one is especially sweet! Great additions to any collection! Get back, when you get more info!
marbury's coins all look genuine to me. Even with the chopmark, the crown size coins should command easily over 100USD. The kwangtung 20 cents, maybe 10-20 dollars. Congratulations. coinlooker - yours unfortunately is not genuine.
Sent the Memento dollar and the chopmarked dollar to PCGS........bad news Cleaned (1) and tooled or damaged (2).........really p-off. I would not buy from teutoburger (Germany via Sixbid)...again...better stick to coins I know more about....marbury518
Just got result from PCGS that one of my draggon dollars has filed rims, another one that can't be graded.......ouch again
