If you can look past my crappy pictures and realize that these coins look better in hand A. what would you grade them and B. do you thiink they are AT and NT? These are a couple that I have in my collection that I really enjoy due to the toning and if/when I ever decide to sell my collection, I believe that more people may be willing to purchase them if they were slab..mainly due to the AT that you see on ebay now+a-days. P.S probably not worth it to get them slabbed though I wanted another opinions 1917-p Woodie, I think this is coin has great luster and easily a 64+ but that is me... 1939-p Rainbow, might get a 63-4, minor nicks here and there no signs of wear and light luster 1942-s Half Woodie, half toned on the Reverse and has more luster than the 39-p. Maybe a 64-65+ if gradeable.
I think you need a third question - do you think NGC/PCGS will call it AT or NT. 1917- If the luster is really great, it could go 65. I like it and think it is natural, but if your color is true, I would rate it 50/50 it will get a grade. 1939- I looks to me like it has nice luster, but you say it does not. I would still guess a 65, but that is AT IMO. Thus no grade. 1942-S I will go with a 64, but gain that is AT IMO. Thus no grade. Bear in mind, AT / NT is not my area.
I think they all could be 65 but all look AT to me and I don't think will grade. But just my opinion.
All exhibit market acceptable toning IMO. I see nothing leading me to believe they were intentionally toned.
Thanks for your response. I think they look better in hand then what I can portray but I may be biased
love the colors however send them to NGC not PCGS IMO..... - they all look 65 on a good day, 64 would be a better guess.
